I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone! Getting these photos ready for sharing on here has got me all like – how is my littlest bear already 1?! Our boy, Arlo was welcomed into the world on October the 13th, 2016. He wanted to be here FAST and I had a beautiful, natural 4 hour active labour. We didn’t know his sex until he was born and, WOW what a magical moment! It made the 9 months of the not-knowing-torture worth it! I captured a few special moments in those early days which are shared below, but I really wanted to soak all of the newborn goodness up as I know how quickly it flies. I didn’t return to client sessions as I got busy juggling the babies (yes, Elly is now 3 but she’s totally still my baby – or maybe that’s wishful thinking haha) and started a big project that I’ve been dreaming up for a long time. This gave me a good chance to work on my photography skills and really develop a solid editing style. It’s a little different than before but I’m really enjoying the new direction. As I update this blog over the next few weeks, you’ll start to get a feel for my new style.
